How to Stop Tinnitus with Dr. J. Strutum's Technique
Dr. Berg shared a technique developed by Dr. J. Strutum that he has modified slightly to help alleviate tinnitus. The technique involves tapping the back of the skull to send signals into the eighth cranial nerve, which is responsible for transmitting sound from the ear to the brain.
Step 1: Rate the Intensity of the Tinnitus
Before starting the tapping, rate the intensity of your tinnitus on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is no problem at all, and 10 is a major problem.
Step 2: Tap the Back of the Skull
Take your index finger and middle finger, and snap them down onto the back of your skull. The tapping should be done on the occiput, which is the little ridge at the back of the skull, directly behind the ears. Repeat this tapping motion 20 times.
Step 3: Re-Rate the Intensity of the Tinnitus
After the 20 taps, re-rate the intensity of your tinnitus. If the intensity has decreased, continue with the technique. If not, repeat the tapping for another 20 times.
Step 4: Repeat the Technique
Repeat the tapping motion and re-rating process. Did it decrease from the original number?
Repeat steps 2 and 3 roughly eight times or eight cycles. One success story reported that they did not see improvement until they had done the technique eight times.
If you see any improvement, continue to do this every day.
